Newman Medical has two probes designed for listening to vascular blood flow: a 5MHz Probe and an 8MHz probe. A large, extra bright LCD screen displays heart rate, signal strength, battery life, mute, and volume. The Display is designed to be viewed from a wide range of angles and in many different light conditions, including fluorescent. The Ultrasound Doppler System features a side-mount magnetic probe holder that's resistant to breaking and is easy to clean. The Doppler System Housing is lightweight, weighing just 1 lb 3 oz. A carrying handle makes it easy to carry the Digital Medical Doppler wherever necessary. For peace of mind, Newman Medical DigiDop II Doppler Units are all completely latex free. DD-990R-D5 includes a 5MHz vascular probe. DD-990R-D8 includes an 8MHz vascular probe.

The Smart Recharge System prevents the Doppler from attempting to charge alkaline batteries, which can cause battery leaks. Once charged, the Digital Doppler System's battery life allows for 500, one-minute exams. The DigiDop II 990 Vascular Ultrasound Doppler is powered by 3 rechargeable AA NiMH batteries. To conserve power, the Digital Doppler System will automatically shut off after three minutes of inactivity.
